Dark Photobooth is a photobooth application written in Python with a twist. It uses facial recognition and scraped data to show user a representative profile of how they are tracked and categorized by big data and AI. Created as a sort of art project, I had a lot of fun learning about how facial recognition neural networks work, and how to work with computer vision tools in Python, my programming language of choice. As my work progressed, the tool got more sophisticated, integrating shaders and async operations to run smoothly even when certain operations take time.
